Beautiful and smart

This is a must have book to enjoy, learn from and to appreciate the elegant way it is put together. Recipes are clear and doable yet layered so that the nutrition builds in each combination. Carefully selected areas to delve into and build on for the future.

Would highly recommend

I will never go back to feeding my dog kibble thanks to Cam and this guide. When I started researching commercial dog food vs homemade food, I was overwhelmed by the amount of information and scared that I wouldn’t be providing my puppy with the right nutrition if I were to feed him a homemade diet. This guide completed solved that problem for me. Yes, it is more expensive than feeding most commercial dog foods and it does require quite some time and effort to prepare (especially for feeding a large dog), but I feel much better knowing that my puppy is eating real, human-grade, non-processed food which will support his long-term health. Thank you Cam!

Healthy for my dog

Cam presents many varieties of meals that will absolutely change your dogs health and vitality.
Just like processed junk food for people, kibble left my dog unsatisfied and not at premium health.
He also has a book on diets for dogs with kidney disease, which I am buying today.

Does what it says on the tin but I was expecting just a little more from it.

I think this guide is good and I will definitely be using it to create homemade food for my dog. It is easy to understand and technically does have everything you need to create homemade food, but, I was a little disappointed in the "recipes". If you are expecting a traditional human recipe that is not what you get. The recipes do not specify specific meats or vegetables to use just total quantities. Fair enough, it's not supposed to be a gourmet meal, but I would have liked a page detailing what meat/fruit/veg/herbs are safe for dogs and also their nutritional benefits. Also each recipe is a plug to purchase the multivitamin supplement sold on the site. There is a little bit that tells you to add in a few extra ingredients if you are not using a supplement. I would have liked full home made supplement recipe as now I am unsure if just using the few extra ingredients is enough or not.
